It's going to be one of the big films being released this Christmas: "The Greatest Showman," a new movie musical starring as Connecticut's  P.T. Barnum. Also starring are Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Zendaya, Diahann Carroll, Will Swenson, and Paul Sparks. The film is directed by Michael Gracey.

The film has music by Benj Pasek and Westport's Justin Paul, who worked at Goodspeed Musicals for their developmental production somer years back for "James and the Giant Peach."

The talented duo has done OK since, winning an Oscar earlier this year for their lyrics to the film "La La Land," a Tony in June for "Dear Evan Hansen," for which they wrote the music and lyrics, and later this year there will be a TV presentation of their Tony-moninated musical "A Christmas Story." (An Oscar, a Tony and no doubt a Grammy  for "Dear Evan Hansen" -- and maybe an Emmy, too --  has anyone done the EGOT as quickly as they might?
