Tony Kushner To Speak On Copyrights, Collaboration At Yale Rep

Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter Tony Kushner will speak at Yale Repertory Theatre March 9 at 4 p.m. on the subject of "Copyright and Collaboration in the Theater."
The event is in association with the exhibit "The Art of Collaboration: running at Yale's Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library through April 15. Kushner will be "in conversation: with Da-hne Brooks.
Kushner, 61, is the writer of 1993's two-part "Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes." He co-authored with Eric Roth the screenplay for the 2005 film "Munich, " and he wrote the screenplay for the 2012 film "Lincoln."Both films received Oscar nominations for best adapted screenplay. He also received a National Medal of Arts from President Barack Obama in 2013.
A new production of "Angels in America" starring Nathan Lane and Andrew Garfield will play an 18-week engagement on Broadway. Previews begin Feb. 23 with an official opening on March 25.
