'Disaster,' "Sweeney Todd' Top Nutmeg Summer Line-Up

Seth Rudetsky in "Disaster!" Terrence Mann in "Sweeney Todd: A Musical Thriller in Concert" " and "Jesus Christ Superstar" with choreography by Tony Award-nominated Christopher D'Amboise will make up Connecticut Repertory Theatre's Nutmeg Summer Series of musicals.

The second season under the artistic leadership of three-time Tony Award nominee Mann will run June 7 through July 22.  Subscription packages are now on sale with single tickets on sale March 1 at crt.uconn.edu or 860-486 2113.

Jack Plotnick, who staged the Broadway production of "Disaster!" incarnation, will direct the nutmeg show which will star three-time Emmy Award nominee and SiriusXM Broadway host, Seth Rudetsky, who will reprise the role he originated in the show on Broadway.

"Sweeney Todd" follows the style of CRT’s presentation of “Les Misérables: A Musical Celebration.” Peter Flynn will direct.

The summer concludes with “Jesus Christ Superstar” with Mann directing and d’Amboise, who staged and choreographed "Newsies" last summer, choreographing.
