'Hamilton' Heading to Hartford In December At Bushnell

Details of the tour of the hit musical 'Hamilton" coming to Hartford's The Bushnell have just been released. Well, at least one significant one. 

So listen up, 'Ham'-fans.

The three-week run will be Dec. 11 to 30 -- and what a lovely Christmas present tickets that would be.

Renewing subscribers will have first opportunity to purchase a ticket for each subscription. 

Then new subscribers will have an opportunity to get tickets. The date for new subscriptions has not be announced but is expected to be in the next month or so iff last year';s roll-out is a guide.

Single tickets are expected to go on sale some time this summer.

There will be a lottery for every performance. Details are to be announced but other venues have about 40 tickets involved in the on-line lottery for the next days performance. (Connecticut fans who can travel can participate win the lottery when the tour goes to Boston and Providence as well.)

Other details were announced Monday night at the season announcement event at the theater.

The 2018-19 season will also include: "The Play That Goes Wrong: (Sept. 25 to 30); "Fiddler on the Roof" (Nov. 6 to 11); "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (Feb. 19 to 24); "Rent" (March 12 to 17); "Come From Away" (April 30 to May 5); "Waitress" (June 18 to 23).

Non-subscription musical bookings include: :The Lion Long" (Aug. 1 to 19); "Cats" (Jan. 29 to Feb. 3); "Beautiful" (March 26 to 31); and "The Sound of Music" (May 17 to 19).
